Our syllabus for Summer 2017, detailing what we have planned for the next six months is now available to download.  We have a varied and interesting programme with a mix of events at the club and a number of trips out during the lighter summer evenings.  We have something of interest for all camera enthusiasts, so if you're keen on photography, why not join come and join us?

Porcelain Fungus by Bill Senior CPAGBOur March monthly competition took place on Monday 27 March with guest Anthony Sanderson from Accrington Camera Club judging.  With plenty of entries this time, Anthony had a tough job to pick the winners...

The Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU) have announced details of their annual Club print and DPI competitions.  The two contests will take place over the weekend of 4-5 March at Lowton High School, Lowton.

There are important changes to the rules this year, which we must follow. 

The Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU) have announced details of their annual Individual print and DPI competitions.  The two contests will take place over the weekend of 6-7 May.  Although the closing date is near the end of April, as all our entries have to be submitted in bulk, we need extra time.  This means the deadline for entries is 3 April.

Also, please note that there are important changes to the rules this year, which we must follow.

Head and shoulders portrait of a club memberOn Monday 13 March, David Schofield came to Darwen with his studio lights for an interesting and entertaining evening about his work as a fashion photographer at the University of Central Lancashire.

David was able to show us some of his work supporting the fashion students before demonstrating some simple lighting techniques that members were able to try out.

 

Our February monthly competition took place on Monday 27 February, with judge club chairman Alex Dawson.  As usual there were separate categories for prints, digital images and theme challenge.
