Frost covers the ground and trees in this early morning shot of an Autumnal tree across the River Brathay, Cumbria

On Monday 21 February we learned with great sadness of the passing of Dr Mike Foley, Darwen Camera Club member.  Mike was an expert in all manner of wildlife, from botany to bees and butterflies, and was a very accomplished photographer.

He was a regular visitor to Brockholes Nature Reserve, well known and popular with many of the wildlife enthusiasts there, and his expertise and knowledge on all manner of wildlife was highly regarded.  As well as Brockholes, Mike enjoyed his visits to the Lakes, Yorkshire and the Lancashire Coast and his images were always a delight to see.

Mike will be greatly missed by all at Darwen Camera Club.
